Annual Overseas Conference

Once a year, Hays Travel retail managers get together for an overseas conference to celebrate their successes and reflect on the year behind them. Branch managers, senior head office staff members and suppliers attend the event which is packed full of useful business sessions.

But all this hard work doesn’t go down without some fun filled evenings. We have fancy dress and gala nights where we get to relax and let the fun commence! Take a look at our previous conference videos below to check out what we get up to...

2019 Retail Conference – Antalya, Turkey

2019 – Our 30th and largest conference in our history! We welcomed almost 700 managers and suppliers to five star luxury hotels in Antalya for four nights of fantastic speakers and workshops to learn a unique insight into the latest developments in the travel industry. We were joined by headline sponsors Jet2Holidays and P&O Cruises who both provided amazing presentations packed with masses of information to take back to our branches.

As always, our conference wouldn’t be complete without our themed nights. This year’s fancy dress theme was Musical Theatre in which we saw a range of costumes from Thriller, The Lion King, Aladdin, Rock of Ages and many more! We also had an ‘Orange and Blue’ themed evening where we enjoyed live music at the beach club as we partied the night away. Finally the conference was topped off with our traditional Gala Dinner where we celebrated the hard work everyone has put in for the previous year with an awards ceremony.

2018 Retail conference - Carvoeiro, Algarve, Portugal

2018’s conference was bigger and better than ever, with 260+ attendees, including retail branch managers, senior and key head office members and suppliers.

Conference sessions were made up of key supplier presentations, business sessions and supplier matchmaking. This year’s fancy dress theme was ‘uniforms’ and we got everything from cheerleaders and jockeys to police and brownies! As always, our glitzy Gala Dinner was the highlight, which was a perfect opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all our managers for their hard work throughout the year. 2017 Retail conference - Portaventura, Salou, Spain

In 2017, over 190 Hays Travel staff attended our conference in Portaventura, Salou. We had over 30 suppliers there too to ensure our staff got the most knowledge possible! Each night was situated within the theme park; enjoying a cowboy themed evening complete with BBQ dinner, Alice in Wonderland themed fancy dress evening, Mexican evening and ending with our gala night. Together with our suppliers, we certainly know how to party!
