An apprenticeship proved to be just the ticket for Bobbi.
Upon leaving school, Bobbi knew that she wanted to enter the world of work but was unsure of what her next steps would be. Having always had a passion for travel, Bobbi felt the L3 Travel Consultant apprenticeship with Hays Travel would be the perfect fit.
“My family have always been big on travelling and I grew up loving the idea of helping other people find their dream holidays. The apprenticeship was a great decision for me, because although I knew I wanted to work, this was a great opportunity for me to achieve a qualification and gain valuable experience at the same time.”
Bobbi has completed her L3 Travel Consultant Apprenticeship and has now progressed to the role of Assistant Manager in our Wallsend branch.
Emmie's apprenticeship was just the confidence boost she needed.
Confidence has always been a struggle for Emmie. Making the decision to apply for a Hays Travel retail apprenticeship was a big decision that she did not take lightly, and it was the support of her family that encouraged her to pursue her passion of working in the travel industry.
Since applying for the apprenticeship, Emmie has grown in confidence and credits the Hays Travel Learning & Development team for helping her realise her true potential. /p>
“I have loved my time as an apprentice at Hays Travel, both my colleagues and the Learning & Development team have been so supportive and taken the time to answer my questions and support me through the whole learning process. I’ve learnt so many new skills, from general travel knowledge to time management, customer service and communication skills.”
Emmie loves seeing a customer smile when she helps them find their dream holiday and this feeling has motivated her throughout her apprenticeship.
“I’ve gone from not being able to say hello to a bus driver to now asking them how their day was, I feel like a totally different person when it comes to my confidence. I’ve loved my apprenticeship, and I can’t wait to progress within my current role.”
Eden took her apprenticeship and turned it into an opportunity to learn and grow.
After completing a year in college studying Business, Eden was unsure of what her next steps would be. After sitting down with her Nanna and Grandad, they encouraged her to apply for a Hays Travel Retail Apprenticeship, a local company they have used and admired for several years.
Throughout her apprenticeship, Eden put herself forward for every possible learning experience she could and has credited this hard work for her current success in her role as Assistant Manager in our Bridges branch.
“I really enjoyed my apprenticeship; my colleagues and my coach were such a big support, and
this
gave me the
confidence to put myself forward for further courses. When the opportunity came around to
apply for
Assistant Manager, I felt prepared and supported enough to apply.
I’ve been at Hays Travel for more than four years now and I’ve managed to progress in to a
management role,
take an educational trip to Turkey and even meet a former prime minister!”
When asked if she would recommend a Hays Travel apprenticeship, Eden added:
“I absolutely would! It’s a great, friendly company to work for with so many
opportunities to
progress
and
learn more about the industry. I’ve never looked back!”
